i'm a traitor...

i am officially a hypocrite/traitor. for so long, i've talked about how i "don't want an e-reader" because... (use any of the following excuses)

-"i like the feeling of holding a book."
-"i like the way books smell."
-"i don't want to contribute to the demise of bookstores."
-"why would i use one of those? real books don't lose battery life."
-etc., etc., etc.

well, when michael came home and offered to buy me a kindle fire with part of his winnings from the casino, i began to whistle a different tune. no one likes to admit when they're wrong, but my pride can stand it in this case. i totally stand corrected. i'm already addicted to my kindle fire! as soon as i got it out of the box and into its super cute little leather case, all my little previous excuses immediately melted into oblivion.

i know...i'm a sell-out. whoopsie!

as soon as we got home from best buy, i immediately finished 'girl, interrupted' (amazing read, by the way), downloaded the second book in the 'fifty shades' trilogy, and got to reading.

my, oh, my, how i love my kindle! somehow, i know that my b.t.c. reads are just going to be so much better now that i have this little guy!

and seriously?? how great is mikey? he really is the most selfless, kind, caring, giving, [insert any and all other synonyms for wonderful here] individual i know. i wish i was more like him.

i've got to go! ana and christian are discussing some sub from his past that's gone off the deep end...can't wait to see how this turns out!

  1. I'm so happy you FINALLY have crossed over to the darkside. I have had my Kindle since 09 and it's love. If it ever breaks I will charge it to get another one asap. I am the best spokesperson for them. My friends in Iraq used to joke that Amazon should give me a kiosk in the mall to sell them. LOL I am a believer. and I don't know about the fire but mine will stay charged for up to a month as long as you keep the wifi OFF! Oh and Fifty Shades stays amazing all the way to the end of the 3rd book. Your going to feel like a new person when you finish them. LOL
